Corrections and Retractions Policy

Journal: Transdisciplinary Medical, Clinical and Health Research (TMCHR)

1. Issue Identification

Concerns about a published article may be raised by authors, readers, reviewers, editors, or other relevant parties.

  • The concern must be submitted to the editorial office with a clear description of the issue.
  • The editorial office records the report and assigns it to the Editor-in-Chief for review.

2. Preliminary Assessment

  • The Editor-in-Chief evaluates whether the issue is minor, such as a formatting, typographical, or metadata error, or more substantial, such as an issue affecting the validity, reliability, interpretation, or ethical integrity of the published work.
  • If needed, supporting documents, data, or explanations may be requested from the authors or other relevant parties.

3. Investigation

  • The editorial team reviews the available evidence and may consult reviewers, editorial board members, authors, institutions, ethics committees, or other relevant parties when necessary.
  • The journal determines whether the issue requires a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action.

4. Correction Procedure

  • If an error does not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions of the article, a Correction Notice may be issued.
  • The notice clearly identifies the original article and describes the error and the corrected information.
  • The correction notice is published and permanently linked to the original article.
  • The original article remains accessible to readers, with the correction clearly indicated where appropriate.

5. Retraction Procedure

  • An article may be retracted when there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable, when serious errors are identified, or in cases involving plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, unethical research, duplicate publication, or other serious breaches of publication ethics.
  • A Retraction Notice is published explaining the reason for the retraction.
  • The retraction notice is permanently linked to the original article.
  • The original article normally remains accessible as part of the scholarly record but is clearly identified as Retracted on the article page and within the published document where technically possible.

6. Publication of Notice

  • All correction and retraction notices are published as separate documents.
  • The notices are linked to the original article.
  • Article status updates are reflected in the journal’s metadata and Crossmark record.
